ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm Melissa, a mom, wife, and art teacher living in the Pacific Northwest. My work is inspired by vintage items, the PNW, traditional folk art, tattoos, food, animals, and flowers.

I studied art education at Western Washington University where I earned my BA and teaching certificate. Through my art program I was able to explore several mediums and focused my art concentration in fiber arts. In my nine years teaching art to K-8 students I loved being able to use a variety of materials and styles of art, but was always happiest to share my love for printmaking and watercolor painting with my students.

When my son was born I was still looking for an outlet to stay connected with my identity and art. I started making block carvings with images my son loved: old tractors, squirrels, firetrucks. After searching for cute, comfortable, and timeless looking clothes for him I realized I could be printing these images on his own clothes! My shop was born and I had found my passion for printmaking.

I love creating art with my own son and he too has had found passion for stamp making. Many of my designs are made with my boy by my side, both of us sketching and creating. I love working at home in our living space where we can make art together and I can chat with him and my husband while I work.

Thank you for visiting my shop. Every like, visit, comment, share, and purchase, no matter how small, makes an HUGE difference to me and is making all my artist dreams come true. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
